In this latest installment, we show the preparation for the glass casting. At the end, we show our home-made way to grind the edge of the mirror blank.

I tried this a few years ago using a propane-fired kiln and borosilicate glass. Unfortunately the roar from the kiln was so loud that the neighbors called the police who thought I was running a methamphetamine lab and came VERY close to shooting me before I could explain. At any rate, it worked and I still have the mirror blank.
That awsome thanks for posting this video. I was wondering how they made telescope mirror’s. Btw what is the size of this thing ? It looks huge like 20″ +
How do u make curve?
Hey guys! Great videos! I am basically doing the same thing you guys are doing, although my shop is a little more ghetto than yours! Have you thought of putting the kiln on some type of rotator to pre-generate whatever sagitta you guys are trying to achieve? Same way the big-boys do it! Again, thanks for the vids!
Great video, can anyone help find some info on how to build one like this.Thanks.
I have no Idea what you just did, anyway I use the grinding method ,by the way,How do you what do you use Vacuum chamber aluminum or silver bath ,I’m really having trouble using silver bath and I was looking a method to build a vacuum chamber with the tungsten and all that stuff..
does regular glass turn to lens or is the mold specualy made
We flat stack pieces of glass that are from the same family, from one piece of glass. We heat the oven to over 1750 degrees and hold it between 6 & 8 hours. We quick cool it to the akneeling point depending on the thickness of the glass.
Thanks for putting up the videos! I am planning to setup my own mirror making setup in Bangalore, India. Your videos are sure helpful!Cheerio,Sreejith

use a heavy duty hanger on the stud, this should be sufficient…….or hang it to 2 studs…one hanger per stud and a wire to connect them….the other ends connect to the pic frame
UGH!!!! I feel like such a dummy!! I just watched that WITHOUT sound and I could do it, I have tried other knitting basic books and the pictures are terrible!! Thank you so much! That was so much easier! For a long time I was casting on with a one needle technique and it looked terrible at the end of my scarves.

I guess this would really depend on your woodworking skills. Hollow core doors are just that. They only have a small amount of wood around the outer edges. You would need to cut out the opening for the size of the glass panels, build and insert a frame work to support those panels, anchor them to the outer wood uprights and then frame the panels after installation with molding. It wouldnt be terribly difficult, but if you are not a handy individual or dont have a lot of experience in woodworking, it may be just a little more headache than it is worth. On the other hand, since you already have all the parts, you really have nothing to lose by trying.
Hi,
I just want to advise you never to get a Bushnell Northstar telescope, or any telescope Bushnell makes, for that matter. They may seem like a bargain (built-in computer and everything), but they are so difficult to set up and none of your settings are saved. I have yet to look at anything through my telescope.

before you feed them let them both get to the top once they see you so that the ryukin doesnt hog all the food
The usual reason is for astrophotography. One telescope is used to make the image; the other telescope to guide the imaging telescope to keep the stars in place in the picture: dots rather than lines.
It is also done if two very different telescopes are used for different purposes at the same time. For example, I observe variable stars with my Celestron CPC 1100 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain. Some stars have comparison stars located outside the 1 degree field of view of the 11". I'm thinking of piggybacking a small wide-field refractor on my 11" so as to see those stars.

Well, you've asked this in the astronomy section, which is not exactly the right spot for this.
However, you do *not* want an astronomy telescope for your stated purposes. Most telescopes used for astronomy will invert the image (unless you buy a diagonal for your eyepiece). Plus they will be more money than you want to spend for this purpose.
I'd say a spotting scope would work fine, but I'd consider a good pair of binoculars first.
Still in this rip thr runway casting
Today, I noticed that my neighbor's house has a clear view of my daughter's bathroom. There is a telescope in his window. FML…disgusting

That’s a pretty cool use for an old computer.
I'm an old house gal myself, and have had really good success finding replacement fixtures and/or bowls through old house lighting centers. A lot of those old styles are still being produced and I'm thinking you might be able to find the parts you need quite easily…. or, at the very least, you can look at the catalog and get an idea of how the fixture is supposed to look. I'm attaching a link to my favorite old house lighting resource.
Wonderful, the game and the music, thanks EA it’s worth spending money!

I always thought she said a “seedy hotel”, i dunno. Now that the game is out it has a different meaning.
well you're not guaranteed success in 30 days, but you have a bigger chance in getting involed in acting by goingto auditions than sitting at home just wishing. i did this as a kid and i was an extra (an elf) in the movie "The Santa Claus" and that was my first small role..i got it through a casting call. try it.
Good movie ^^

Great job, bro. Can you please tell me about the light setting that you have used (if you dont mind). I would like to use it in our church. Thank you. God bless you.
Just get the stove good and hot now and again, I mean so the embers inside are RED hot, it will burn everything off. I do that and never need to clean the glass.
